Gregory Crewdson

“I think one of the main reasons I’m so drawn to photography is the incapacity to resolve a narrative- a picture always remains a kind of question mark.”

– Gregory Crewdson

Gregory Crewdson is a renowned American photographer from New York known for his elaborate photographic scenes of American homes and neighborhoods. His shots involve a large crew and are elaborately staged and lit. He is featured in the documentary film Brief Encounters. I got see some of his work at the “The Big Picture” exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum today. I’m enjoying learning about different photographers and their style of shooting. I was amazing at the large-scale of his photography.IMG_0933
