I have seen these shirts around the Valley. A few guys created this apparel line to represent their passion for Arizona. State Forty Eight represents a lifestyle, a sense of community and is an expression of pride. I love the logo and picked up a shirt while I was visiting Chandler Public Library. They are pretty stylish and comfortable and make me proud of the state I grew up in. The have shirts, stickers, wallets and hats.
Thanks to Groupon, Christin and I got to enjoy a nice dinner at the Compass Arizona Grill at a good price. Compass AZ Grill is a revolving roof top restaurant that sits on top of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix. The restaurant gives you a 360 degree view of the Valley of the Sun. They have a great selection of wines as well as a menu of a variety of grilled meats, roasted chicken and lamb, and seared fishes and vegetables.

Ribeye with Mushroom and Bean Salad
Christin got a Mushroom and bean salad made up of peppercorn goat cheese pistachio pesto and fried garbanzo. She also got an Eggplant bisque with crab and chives. I went for the Ribeye topped with tomato blue cheese butter served with roasted cauliflower. Both were delicious. We finished off the night with a Butter pecan goat cheese cake with basil blueberries and a cinnamon cookie crust for desert.
